WHO WE ARE

In 1929, the Arkansas Hardware Association transitioned to become the Arkansas Homefurnishings Association in hopes to provide support and protection to the furniture retailers within the state. Since the very beginning, the Association offered benefits for the retailers from healthcare to discounted pricing on sold tags. Since then AFA, now ARHFA has made consistent and productive efforts to remain the association that furniture retailers in Arkansas know and trust. As the industry has changed over the years, so has ARHFA. The association continues to grow and proudly counts more than 500 retail and associate members alongside its collaboration with affiliate members across 27 other states.

The flagship of the association is our partnerships with furniture financing companies. ARHFA is very fortunate and grateful to call them partners as well as friends. These relationships with our partners have given the association the ability to adapt in a changing industry and become what it is today.

Accompanying the specialty finance programs, ARHFA provides in-state members with federal and state lobbying aimed at protecting against unfair taxation and legislation. The Association also provides education for home furnishings retail store executives and employees, consulting with members on business needs, and networking opportunities between ARHFA members to allow the exchange of retail experience and information.

ARHFA Mission Statement

The Arkansas Homefurnishings Association is committed to leading with vision, offering advanced programs and technologies, taking a proactive stance in government affairs, and promoting high standards of ethics and professional development in our industry.

We endeavor to accomplish this mission by:

  • Offering specialized finance and retail solutions exclusively for members.
  • Monitoring and advocating on legislative matters at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities to foster connections among industry members.
  • Educate, advance, and promote equitable retail practices among members.

"Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results."
